Davey Studio Architects present at AIA'21

An Bord Pleanala recently granted permission by way of an SHD application process for 650 dwellings in Athlone with connections to the new greenway route.

We were glad to be invited to part in this live event which formed part of the A'21 AIA Conference on Architecture.
We have been exploring the use of VR technology in the development of urban concepts and massing studies for developments that our practice has been involved in.

We were asked by the developers of Arkio to take them through how we interact with their software and how it has formed part of our design workflow.

We hope our presentation provided a useful insight to anyone that might be interested in VR and its potential to benifet architectural design and urban planning practice.
